Ciara Sutherland is, quite simply, a top-class dentist. She combines true expertise with a 'gentle touch' and a comforting, reassuring manner. I cannot commend her highly enough!!

I had a procedure with Ciara and she was absolutely fantastic. I wasn’t sure what to expect but she talked me through everything in great detail and I was given the opportunity to ask any questions. I felt completely at ease and would recommend her to anyone.

This was my first visit to The Gentle Touch. I was made to feel so at ease and safe that I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending the Practice. I never thought I’d actually look forward to going to the Dentist but the experience was so positive and unlike any surgery I’ve ever been to before. I’m more than happy to return.

Wow what excellent service. I am used to an NHS dentist where getting an emergency appointment involves a wait of up to 8 weeks or requires daily calls in the hope of picking up on a cancellation. I called Gentle Touch at 8:30 am, I was the Dentist chair by 10:00 the same day and had finished my treatment by 10:30. What a contrast. Thank you so much Gentle touch.

I recently had two excellent sessions at The Gentle Touch, one of which being an emergency appointment after experiencing horrendous toothache. The practice staff were exceptionally welcoming of me as a new patient and immediately helped me to alleviate my anxieties. The whole experience was superb, so much so I’m actually looking forward to future appointments.

“For the past five or six years, since our move to Kelso, we’ve been delighted with the quality of all the work done at The Gentle Touch practice.  Appointments scheduled are very much kept to time, and yet the practice is only too helpful if there’s a sudden emergency; a loose crown, a lost filling or whatever. The system of six-monthly check-ups works well, and appointments can generally be scheduled for the hygienist on the same day.

In the past year, I’ve had a couple of implants, and the whole process, from early consultation through to completion, was handled very efficiently; with carefulness and practical explanations.  My dentist, Amber Aplin, has a welcoming manner and the necessary artistic skill to make the final result seem both comfortable and convincing.

Called up yesterday with an emergency and was seen the same day. I wasn’t sure they’d be able to help as my own dentist I use is a 2-hour drive. But they were most accommodating, I was very anxious about having to see a different dentist but there was certainly no need to be anxious! Alan Purves was fantastic and I felt at ease straight away. I am a huge fan of the Airflow hygiene treatment at the Gentle Touch. The dental therapists are always amazing - gentle but incredibly effective, leaving me with beautifully clean teeth.

I also recently had repairs made to a chipped tooth as well as a filling - both by dentist Amber Aplin. It was quite a long procedure but I honestly could have fallen asleep as I felt so relaxed in the chair! And the result is excellent. Thank you to all the team at the Gentle Touch.
