Overview

This two-day, in-person course is open to dental therapists looking to elevate their skills in two exciting areas: biomimetic dentistry and therapist-led care (TLC).

The first day of the course is our Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry Foundations (Level 1) course. This is a practical, clinically focused introduction to biomimetics. You’ll learn about assessment, preparation design, bonding to dentine and stress-reduced direct composite techniques.

The second day will offer an incredible opportunity to shadow dental therapists at the Gentle Touch dental practice. Our team of experienced dental therapists have led the way in establishing TLC for the vast majority of patients at our practice. You will spend the day shadowing members of our team, learning the advantages of TLC for patients, for dental therapists and for the wider practice.

The total cost is £495 for dental therapists. A 10% deposit is required (£49.50) to secure your place. Payment for the balance can be made via BACS (details to be provided).

Course Objectives

Course Objectives

To equip delegates with advanced skills in performing long-lasting composite restorations, focusing on the principles of biomimetic dentistry to enhance clinical outcomes.

To provide hands-on training in caries and fracture removal, optimal dentine bonding, Ribbond, and enamel replacement, as well as the correct application of these materials for optimal function and aesthetics.

To empower clinicians with the knowledge to assess structurally compromised teeth and know what can be restored directly, and what teeth would benefit from indirect restorations.

To provide valuable biomimetic dentistry shadowing opportunities where delegates can observe real-time composite restoration procedures, learning from experienced practitioners.

To provide valuable therapist-led care shadowing opportunities where delegates “a day in the life” at a therapist-led practice, learning from experienced practitioners.
