We are a friendly, modern and professional dentist in the Scottish Borders. Our fantastic team consists of five highly trained dentists, an implant practitioner, a facial aesthetics practitioner, three dental therapists and a dental hygienist. We are fortunate to be supported by an outstanding dental nurse and treatments team.
All of us at The Gentle Touch are firm believers in a preventive approach to your dental care. By preventing problems in your mouth before they arise, you’ll benefit from healthier teeth and gums. It will also mean gentler dental treatment for you over the years.
As well as the essentials you’d expect from your dentist, we also offer cosmetic dental services and advanced treatments. These include teeth whitening and teeth straightening. We also offer dental implants for patients looking for solutions for missing teeth. Emergency dental appointments are available daily for members. Finally, we run a facial aesthetics clinic – Gentle Aesthetics – appointments and consultations are available.

Our practice mission statement is to provide preventive and holistic dentistry in a patient-centred, gentle and caring way.
We pride ourselves in making our patients feel at ease. From the moment you walk into the practice and meet our welcoming reception team, to when meeting any of our friendly clinicians. We want to make your visit gentle and relaxing; many patients comment that their visit was a pleasure!
Our vision is that every patient at the Gentle Touch enjoys optimal oral health.
If you are looking for a new dentist in the Scottish Borders, or you would like more information about the practice, please contact us. We are currently accepting new patients for general dentistry as well as cosmetic dentistry.
As a complimentary service and on a no-obligation basis, you can arrange an ‘introductory appointment’ with our patient care co-ordinator Beth McNeil. She will listen to your queries, concerns and aspirations in a non-clinical environment, then talk you through how we can help.
We firmly believe in a preventive approach to dental care. Looking after your teeth with regular check-ups, hygiene treatments and monitoring can negate the need for expensive treatments down the line. That’s why all of our adult patients are registered with one of our preventive care plans (the best plan is recommended by your dentist).
