Led by Principal Dentist Amber Aplin, we offer in-person training courses, mentorship and study clubs with our Dentists as well as guest speakers. Our range of training opportunities include those suitable for dentists (at all levels of experience), dental therapists and practice owners.

Study Clubs

Our Study Clubs are designed to bring dentists together to share knowledge, discuss cutting-edge techniques, and develop their clinical expertise in a collaborative environment. Each session is held at our practice, ensuring a comfortable and well-equipped setting conveniently located to serve our Borders community.

Biomimetic Dentistry Training Courses

The Gentle Touch is the UK’s first fully biomimetic practice, with all Dentists and Dental Therapists routinely using biomimetic techniques. Our in-person training courses give you the opportunity to transform your dental practice with these cutting-edge techniques. You will learn to restore teeth with confidence built on predictable results from our tried-and-tested biomimetic methods. The course includes evidence-based theory, hands-on learning and live in-practice observation.

Our range of courses includes those suitable for experienced Dentists and Dental Therapists as well as for recent graduates.

Mentorship Programmes

We also offer mentorship and ‘over-the-shoulder’ learning opportunities in the fields of biomimetics and therapist-led care & practice strategy. For therapist-led care, we offer a half-day mentor session in our clinic combined with six months of ongoing support. For biomimetics, you will benefit from a full in-practice day delivered by Dr Amber Aplin as well as six months of ongoing support.
