For Professionals

The Gentle Touch is the world’s largest biomimetic dental practice and the UK’s only fully private therapist-led practice. We work closely with dentists and dental therapists across the south of Scotland and the north of England.

We are delighted to accept referrals from other practices, including specialist endodontics with Dr Will Donovan, implants with Dr Duncan Weir, and biomimetic restoration of teeth previously deemed unrestorable.

If you like the sound of how we work, we are always keen to hear from talented clinicians. Take a look at our current career’s page, or simply get in touch.

Dentist Referrals

We gladly accept referrals from dentists across the south of Scotland and the north of England, and we are proud of the relationships we have built with our referring colleagues.

Our specialist endodontist, Dr Will Donovan, consults every Monday and accepts referrals for all endodontic treatment, including complex morphology, retreatment, cracked teeth and trauma. Treatment is carried out under magnification, with cone beam CT on site if required. Referred patients are contacted within 24 hours and can usually be seen within five working days.

We also welcome referrals for:

  • Badly damaged teeth, including deep decay and fractures. As the world’s largest fully biomimetic practice, we routinely restore teeth previously deemed unrestorable
  • Second opinions on restorability, before extraction is the only option left
  • Dental implants and All on 4, led by Dr Duncan Weir
  • Perio and gum health, including routine hygiene treatments
  • Tooth discolouration, including white spot lesions

Fees

Endodontic consultation: £85
Endodontic treatment: £875 to £1,200, depending on complexity
Biomimetic restoration: £354 to £1,434, depending on the tooth and complexity
Implant consultation: £85

Every patient receives a full written estimate before any treatment begins, so there are no surprises for you or for them.

You choose the scope of every referral. We can treat the referred problem and return your patient to you with a full report, or carry out the definitive restoration here as well. Your patient remains your patient, and we never comment on previous treatment.

Not sure whether to refer? Message our clinician advice line on WhatsApp with the radiograph and a brief history, and one of our clinicians will reply during working hours with an honest opinion. No obligation, no charge. 07898738646
