Training and Career

Lynn began her career as a dental nurse in the RAF, where she gained a wealth of experience and developed a real passion for dentistry and patient care. She decided to further her career by continuing education at the University of Birmingham gaining a BSc Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy in 2009. Her journey took her around the UK as she followed her husband with his career, before eventually settling in the beautiful Scottish Borders, starting at the Gentle Touch in 2022. 

In 2025 the practice won two national titles at the Private Dentistry Awards: Practice of the Year and Best Patient Care for Scotland and Northern Ireland, and the team were awarded Highly Commended.

Special interests

One of the things Lynn enjoys most about her role is welcoming new patients to the practice and taking the time to get to know them. She loves helping patients build confidence, providing education and advice around prevention, and guiding them towards treatments that could benefit their oral health and overall well being.

After hours

Outside of work, Lynn is a mum to two children, and the family has their much-loved dog. She enjoys keeping active through running and, when she’s not busy with family life, loves settling down with a good book.
