Join us: Dentist and Dental Therapist or Hygienist roles

Tue, 28th Jun 2022

As we grow our practice at the Gentle Touch, we are excited to be hiring two brand new roles. We are looking for one dentist and one dental therapist or dental hygienist. Both of these roles are full-time, or nearly full-time, positions. Our Practice Manager will discuss the roles with interested parties. Please do get in touch if you’d like some more info – we will be very happy to have an informal chat in the first instance!

What’s it like to work at the Gentle Touch?

We are a friendly, professional and caring dental practice in the beautiful market town of Kelso, in the Scottish Borders. Working here gives you the chance of a superb quality of life, with colleagues who work extremely well together. Find out more in this short video.

Dentist (Full-Time, or nearly Full Time)

We are a fully private practice. All of our patients pay a monthly fee as part of one of our membership plans. We are looking for an additional dentist for our team – someone who is a team player, hardworking, kind and caring, professional, and someone who is really interested in continuously upskilling. At the Gentle Touch, we like to keep up with the latest thinking across our disciplines. That’s why we welcome innovation and will make use of, and market, your unique skills. Our dentists enjoy the clinical freedom that private dental practice provides. It means you can choose the best treatment for your patient, and you are not restricted to what is available on the NHS.

Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist (Full-Time, or nearly Full Time)

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist or a Dental Therapist to join our practice. Our Dental Hygiene and Therapy team is absolutely central to the care we offer. We believe in a preventative approach to oral health, and all of our patient treatment plans include regular hygiene treatments. We aim to provide best-in-class hygiene treatments and this includes offering Airflow treatments in the membership plans of the majority of our patients.

Clinic facilities

We invest continually in our practice in Kelso, with a refurbishment of the practice in 2020 and new clinics, staff room and office space completed in early 2022. Our aim to ensure that the clinic space is a light and airy place to work. We also invest strongly in equipment, with our most recent additions including GBT Airflow machines and Invisalign 3D scanners.
