Celebrating excellence: Gentle Touch shortlisted for four Private Dentistry Awards

Tue, 4th Nov 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that Gentle Touch has been named a regional finalist in four categories at the prestigious Private Dentistry Awards 2025. We are extremely excited to be shortlisted in recognition of our unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care and clinical excellence.

The practice has been shortlisted in the following categories:

Our Practice Principal, Amber Aplin, is delighted we have reached the finals in these four categories. She says:

“It’s been an extraordinary year for our team at Gentle Touch, and to be recognised as a regional finalist in four categories at the Private Dentistry Awards feels incredibly special. When I acquired the practice nine years ago, I dreamed of transforming how we deliver dental care in our community. Becoming the UK’s first fully biomimetic practice and launching our Biomimetic Academy has been the culmination of years of dedication from our entire team. But what makes me most proud is that we’ve achieved this whilst maintaining our perfect 5-star Google review record – because ultimately, everything we do is about our patients and their experience.

This recognition belongs to every member of our team. Our pioneering therapist-led care model has allowed everyone to work to their full potential and deliver the exceptional, unhurried care our patients deserve. To be shortlisted alongside so many outstanding practices is an honour in itself, and we’re already celebrating this incredible milestone together. Whatever happens at the awards ceremony in November, we’re immensely grateful to the judges for recognising the passion and innovation our team brings to dentistry every single day.”

What makes the Private Dentistry Awards so special?

The Private Dentistry Awards are widely recognised as among the most respected accolades in UK and Irish dentistry. They set the gold standard for outstanding patient care, innovation and clinical excellence across the private dental sector, making this recognition particularly meaningful for our entire team.

This year’s ceremony takes place on Friday 21 November 2025 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, where the winners will be announced at one of the dental industry’s most celebrated events.

What makes being shortlisted even more special is knowing just how competitive this year’s awards have been. Dr James Goolnik chairs the 2025 judging panel, bringing his extensive insight and industry leadership to the evaluation process. With an exceedingly high standard of entries across all categories, we’re genuinely honoured and delighted to have made the shortlist in not just one, but four categories. It’s a privilege to be recognised alongside so many exceptional dental practices.

A team effort worth celebrating

Being recognised across four different categories is a testament to the dedication and passion of everyone at Gentle Touch. From our clinical team to our reception staff, every member plays a vital role in delivering the exceptional care that has earned us a place in the finals of the Private Dentistry Awards.

The Patient Care nomination is particularly close to our hearts. It reflects what we strive for every single day: creating positive, comfortable experiences for everyone who walks through our doors.

Our principal, Amber Aplin, being shortlisted for Practice Principal of the Year acknowledges not just clinical excellence, but also the vision and leadership that shapes the culture of our practice.

Thank you to our patients

This achievement wouldn’t be possible without the trust and support of our wonderful patients. Your feedback, loyalty, and recommendations inspire us to continuously improve and innovate in everything we do.

While we wait for the final results to be announced later this month, we’re already celebrating this incredible milestone. Whatever the outcome on awards night, being recognised alongside the finest dental practices in Scotland and “the North” is an honour that belongs to our entire Gentle Touch family.

Here’s to continuing our commitment to excellence in dentistry and patient care!
